More than a shopping or dining venue, The Outpost at Old Moultrie will become an entire community destination when it opens in St. Augustine.
The Outpost will turn a cadre of recycled shipping containers into an entertainment village complete with dining, shopping, and more. Located at 2505 Old Moultrie Road, the Outpost is set to open in February 2026.
Business Debut reports that the containers were sourced from Ohio-based Uncontained, with each container retrofitted with plumbing and electrical, ready for prospective tenants to decorate and move in. In total, the completed site will also include a playground, a covered seating structure, and a stage for entertainment and community events.
According to its website, The Outpost will also include a beer garden, and will host rotating events including artisan markets, food truck rallies, hands-on workshops, and family-friendly festivals. The Outpost will also include workforce housing designed to support those who live and work in the community.
Owner Justin Tahilramani is currently seeking food and artisan vendors for the Outpost. Though all are welcome, there’s an emphasis on creative, local talent, including, “passionate culinary entrepreneurs” for its food program and makers who embody the spirit of, “creativity, craftsmanship, and community”. Interested vendors can apply at theoutpostsjc.com/apply-to-be-a-vendor.
