New Playa Bowls Location Planned for Collierville

The popular chain has signed a lease for a new building in the Water Tower District.

A Jersey chain that’s been taking over the hearts and stomachs of diners with a hunger for healthy but delicious fast-casual options is expanding its Memphis area reach. Playa Bowls is continuing an auspicious run in the region with a new location coming to a newly erected building in Collierville’s Water Tower District, reports Commercial Appeal.

 

While a little ambiguity remains about the precise address of Playa Bowls’ newest home, there is plenty of information available for those hoping to triangulate where, exactly, the storefront will be. The eatery will be setting up shop in suite 101 of a building just off of Poplar Avenue. Playa Bowls will be a neighbor to a Nothing Bundt Cakes and Rotolo’s Craft + Crust.

 

An opening timeline is not presently available, however the physical space is on track to be completed at some point in December. What Now Memphis has reached out to local ownership for further details and will update readers as information becomes available.

 

Collierville residents looking forward to sampling Playa Bowls’ fare can rest easy knowing they’re in capable hands; the storefront will be helmed by local franchisees Amy Lupo and Jack Speed, the team behind the two Memphis-area Playa Bowls already open and in operation. 

 

Founded in New Jersey in 2014, Playa Bowls offers a healthier fast-casual alternative for diners in a hurry. The company describes its menu saying: “Using the freshest, highest quality ingredients, we serve healthy, delicious açaí, pitaya, coconut bowls and smoothies with sustainability and community in mind.”
