A retro-inspired burger joint that opened in Dorchester earlier this year is already cooking up an expansion.

Yeanie’s Burgers and Social is preparing to launch a second location at 1761 Centre St in West Roxbury, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Since the space was previously occupied by another restaurant, the team can skip the public hearing process before the Boston Licensing Board reviews its food-serving license.

Launched in February by husband-and-wife Phi Pham and Yeanie Bach, Yeanie’s serves classic diner food in a playful 1950s-style setting. Universal Hub reports that, in addition to the traditional burgers, fries, and shakes that Yeanie’s has become known for, the new location will also feature globally inspired additions like Filipino spaghetti and barbecue topped with a passion-fruit habanero sauce.

As for the space itself, Yeanie’s signature look showcases sunny yellow accents (their daughter’s favorite color), swivel stools, an open kitchen, and a dedicated social area designed to bring neighbors together.

Yeanie’s is part of the couple’s KOLO Restaurant Group, founded in 2020 to champion Vietnamese culture in Boston. Since then, the group has expanded across the city with several distinct eateries, including Bánh Mì Ơi, Phinista Cafe, and Green Haus Cafe.

The owners did not respond to requests for comment from What Now Boston, and an official opening date for the second Yeanie’s Burgers and Social location has not yet been announced. Stay tuned for updates.
