After 10 years of serving delicious potato dishes, Stuffed Baked Potato Factory, a beloved Houston restaurant, officially closed its doors on December 3, 2025.
Beloved Stuffed Baked Potato Factory Announced Permanent Closure
The restaurant owner, Michael D. Moore, recently announced the closure on his official Facebook page. He said, “I have officially ceased operations at The Stuffed Baked Potato Factory, effective December 3rd, 2025. ”
Stuffed Baked Potato Factory has been a neighborhood favorite for nearly a decade. The restaurant is known for its wide variety of crispy, hot, and loaded potato dishes with meats, veggies, cheese, butter, cream, and other comfort food items, such as sandwiches. Fan favorites included the Trash Can Potato, Swamp Monster Potato, Cowabunga, and the Confused.
With this closure, the longtime Houston favorite is no longer operating at either of its locations. In the post, Moore shared that he was proud of the restaurant. “I proudly defied expectations by creating a concept restaurant that stood the test of time, lasting 10 years,” he wrote.
Coincidentally, the restaurant served its final meal on the same day as Moore’s birthday. He considered this a “symbolic passage into a new era”.
Heartfelt Farewells on Social Media
Under the official announcement post, several loyal fans and customers shared cherished memories.
One customer shared, “This is my weekly spot. Shante and the others know every time I come, I get the Carnival with extra crispy chicken fries and extra green onions and BBQ sauce, and I can’t forget my large MIXED Kool-Aid.”
A former employee of the restaurant penned down an appreciation message. “Thank you for allowing me to be a part of The Stuffed Baked Potato Factory Family. I had a blast working here and with everyone else as well. I’ll forever cherish my shirts. Thanks again, Michael D. Moore,” the employee wrote.
The closure of Stuffed Baked Potato Factory at Martin Luther King Boulevard, Suite A, and Hiram Clarke Road has taken the Houston community by surprise. Locals have lost a neighborhood favorite just as the holiday season begins. The restaurant owner has not shared any reason behind the shutdown.
