An Oklahoma-based pizza chain is proving it has what it takes to satisfy DFW diners. Hideaway Pizza first landed in Texas in 2023 and has, to date, opened three Dallas-area locations. The brand is planning to continue its steady takeover, charming even more local pizza fans with a new storefront headed to Frisco.
Hideaway is poised to join the Four Corners shopping center at the intersection of FM 423 and Gordon Heights Lane. Paperwork about the pizzeria filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the restaurant will be moving into a brand-newly erected 8,514 square foot building. Work is projected to wrap by October 7 of next year, boding well for a late autumn opening.
Hideaway Pizza’s been satisfying hungry visitors since its founding by Richard and Marti Dermer in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1957. The brand remains committed to quality 68 years on, but has spread its branches beyond Oklahoma. The DFW has not been immune to the chain’s charms; Hideaway has locations in Plano, McKinney, and Fort Worth.
While there are certainly plenty of pizza options on the market, Hideaway distinguishes itself through its creative menu. The restaurant offers a number of distinctive-and whimsically named-specialty pies, including the Big Country, which features most of the meats a carnivore could crave and the Hurricane, described as having “Red sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, Canadian bacon, smoked bacon, green bell peppers, pineapple and jalapeños.”
However, the only limit to Hideaway’s selection is the customer’s imagination. The pizzeria has an infinitely customizable “build your own” option, allowing visitors to create the pie of their dreams. Folks stopping in without a craving for a hot slice can enjoy one of the concept’s sandwich, salad, or baked pasta dishes.
