BBQ.Chicken, the Korean fried chicken sensation, is opening in Phoenix.
The restaurant will be located in Phoenix’s lively Camelback East area at 305 E. Thomas Road, a spot known for its eclectic shopping and dining scene. According to owner Chung Kim, the restaurant should open January 2026.
BB.Q Chicken started in Seoul, South Korea in 1995 with chairman Yoon Hong-guen wanting to share his love of Korean fried chicken with the world. Today, there are more than 3,500 BB.Q Chicken restaurants around the world.
The key to BB.Q Chicken’s success lies in its Korean fried chicken that’s crispier, juicier, and more tender than typical fried chicken. The chicken is a mix of Korean tradition and modern research conducted in the restaurant chain’s own chicken university.
Customers can order their chicken whole or can opt for wings or boneless. In addition to the traditional golden original, BB.Q Chicken fans can sauce op their orders with a choice of sauces that include a tangy “secret” sauce, hot spicy gochujang, honey garlic, soy garlic, galbi, spicy galbi, Caribbean spice, cheesling (a mix of several cheeses), gangnam style black pepper sauce, gang-jeong, spicy original, hot mala, and wings of fire. To round out your experience, BB.Q Chicken serves kimchi fried rice, fried dumplings, pickled radish, and more.
