Convenience brand Dash In has plans to join developer Crescent Communities’s 1,200-acre planned community The River District in West Charlotte. It will be positioned near the I-485 gateway, according to the Crescent Communities website.

Dash In, launched by The Wills Group in 1979, offers fuel, car washes and food such as breakfast sandwiches, pastries, hot sandwiches, flatbreads, grilled burritos, salads, wraps, burgers, and chicken wings and tenders.

“Dash In is exactly the kind of brand we want to define the day-to-day experience at The River District – one that delivers real value to residents from the moment they enter our community,” Rainer Ficken, senior managing director of The River District, said in the announcement. “This location at our I-485 gateway gives neighbors an immediate, high-quality option that aligns with the level of service, design aesthetic and elevated daily experience we’re building across the community. It also marks an important milestone as commercial development begins to take shape alongside our growing residential neighborhoods.”

This location is one of several in development around the Charlotte area as the brand, which currently has more than 60 locations in the Maryland, Delaware and Virginia region, seeks to expand in the Carolinas. Eventually, Dash In plans to open 10 locations in the Charlotte region.

“We are thrilled to bring the Dash In guest experience to The River District and the greater West Charlotte community. This new location represents an important step in our expansion in the Carolinas and an opportunity to introduce guests to our fresh, made-for-you menu, modern store design, top tier fuel and eco-friendly car wash offerings, all in one destination,” Julian Wills III, president and CEO of Dash In, said in the announcement. “As we prepare to begin construction next year, we look forward to becoming part of the everyday routine for local residents and giving back to this vibrant community as it grows.”

Eventually, The River District will offer a walkable area featuring retail, dining and office spaces.

Other Dash In locations in development in the area include a 5,600-square-foot store along Albermarle Road and one along North Tryon Street.
