Crispy Cones, the ice cream chain that is “revolutionizing the soft serve cone,” has been growing at increasing speed since making a big splash in season 14 of Shark Tank, expanding with new franchise locations across the country.
Now, Crispy Cones is preparing to make its debut in the Jacksonville market, at 45 Durbin Pavilion Dr, Suite 105, in St. Johns, where it will join a food and drink community that includes restaurants like Natural Greens, Salsas Cocina, and Island Wing Company Grill & Bar.
On Wednesday, What Now spoke with Ruthwik, one of the operators of the new location, about the opening.
“When Crispy Cones opened in Orlando, we tried it, and we liked it a lot,” Ruthwik said. The ice cream is always delicious, with many different flavors. It’s very unique. And of course the cone is the most unique aspect.”
“A Crispý Cone is a fresh dough cone, grilled rotisserie-style and covered with cinnamon + sugar or a specialty powder,” explains the Crispy Cones website. “The cone is filled with your choice of spread, gourmet soft-serve ice cream, fruit, and a variety of delicious toppings.”
Indeed, the cone is the heart of this concept. It’s available filled with ice cream in flavors like Vanilla, Swirl, and Key Lime, or with spreads like Nutella, peanut butter, or strawberry jam.
Ruthwik says the opening is planned for this spring, and it’s in fact the first of three locations planned for the Jacksonville area.
