Crave Cookies, the fast-growing Utah-based chain serving up fresh cookies and Loaded Sodas, is preparing for an expansion in the Greater Austin market. This April, franchisees Arun Serikar and Purna Durshanpalli will launch a new Crave Cookies—the first of several planned for the area—at 8481 W State Highway 29, Suite 600 in Leander. The new cookie shop will be part of the Gateway 29 retail center.

“My business partner and I are both IT people,” Arun Serikar told What Now on Wednesday. “We had always been interested in starting our own business. We were looking for a dynamic concept growing at a rapid pace and bringing something new.”

And the brand they found was Crave Cookies: a streamlined concept that is expanding rapidly with a unique approach combining fresh cookies and highly customizable Loaded Sodas.

“The menu is highly dynamic, and it caters to all age groups, but especially to a younger audience,” Serikar says. “These are deep dish cookies, with many different flavors, with new ideas always being brought in. I think it will do extremely well. There’s a very young crowd here looking for different options. Crave Cookies fits right in with a growing market.”

With new flavors dropping every week, another new and exciting cookie may already have been introduced by the time you read this. As of this writing, flavors being highlighted on the Crave Cookies website include, Dubai Chocolate, Stuffed Cookies ‘N Cream, Snikerdoodle Dreamcake, Peanut Butter Cup, and more.

The Leander location is the first of 4-5 Crave Cookies units expected by Q1 2027, and Serikar says the team is already in talks for subsequent locations. Above all, the project is about making Crave Cookies a part of each community it finds a place in.

“On top of all this, we’re trying to give back to the community,” said Serikar. “In Leander, we plan to donate our first month’s earnings to the police department, to the fire fighters. We want to create that community impact.”
