A craft cocktail and music venue embracing Southern charm and timeless sophistication is set to open in Savannah.

Nickel and Oak Lounge, owned by Matthew Lipman, is hitting all the right notes at 111 W. Congress St., currently under construction, according to the venue’s social media updates.

“A New Year, A New Live Music & Event Venue In Downtown Savannah, Ga,” a post read.

The intimate venue will seat up to 150 guests, offering live music, inventive cocktails and fine wine in a relaxed setting. Its interior combines modern luxury with historic touches, warm wood tones and vibrant red-paneled walls.

The main room will feature a bar, cozy booths and a grand piano, while a rooftop bar and private mezzanine provide additional spaces for mingling.

The new spot will showcase local and regional musicians, rising artists and even stand-up comedy performances.

“We will focus heavily on the main 7-8 genres of all music types. The year round schedule will constantly change and [we’ll] try to keep it fresh with a variety of different large and small musicians,” Lipman told What Now Charleston.

An official opening date hasn’t been announced, but follow Nickel and Oak Lounge on Instagram and Facebook as the team actively builds the space.
