What Now Tampa reported back in July on the signing of a 40-unit development deal Fatburger had then signed with franchisee Whole Factor Inc., an agreement that is taking the brand all over the Sunshine State.
“Our Riverview and Celebration locations have exceeded expectations with an incredible fanbase that loves our cooked-to-order burgers, fries, and hand-scooped milkshakes,” FAT Brands CDO Taylor Wiederhorn said in a press release at the time. “Whole Factor is an excellent partner that understands what makes Fatburger such a unique, beloved brand, and their future growth will cement Fatburger as a key burger player in the state of Florida.”
As locations take shape in the Tampa and Orlando markets, Whole Factor Inc. is working to open a new Fatburger in Orange Park, at 348 Blanding Blvd.
“Considered a legendary California-based burger chain, Fatburger plans to open its first Jacksonville-area restaurant in Orange Park, taking over the former DQ Grill & Chill location that closed in December 2024,” says a roundup published this week by Jacksonville.com.
The Fatburger menu features a wide variety of choices. There’s the original burger, best experienced with “The Works” (lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, pickles, and relish)—although there are plenty of other add-ons to throw in if you’re feeling adventurous, whether you fancy a fried egg, chilli, or bacon. There’s also an Impossible Burger, a Turkey Burger, a Chicken Sandwich, and the brand’s 1000 Island Burger. To complete this picture, there are milkshakes in flavors like Oreo Cookies & Ice Cream, Maui Banana, and Vanilla.
What Now reached out on Friday to Whole Factor owner Spike Singh to ask about plans for the Orange Park opening. Singh was not immediately available for comment.
