Chubby Group announced the opening of Chubby Skewers, located at 1135-41 37th Ave, 2nd Floor, Queens, NY 11354. Known for its bold flavors, vibrant atmosphere, and roots in Northeastern Chinese barbecue (Dongbei style), Chubby Skewers offers a street food-inspired dining experience built for shared meals, cold drinks, and late-night cravings. With over 100 locations in China, Chubby Skewers brings that same energy and authenticity to Flushing, capturing the essence of Dongbei BBQ culture in a modern, nightlife-friendly setting.

Guests explore a semi self-service skewer bar, building their own feast from a wide selection of freshly made items:

  • Signature Wagyu Skewers – Featuring Japanese A5 Wagyu, Masami American Wagyu, and Australian Wagyu
  • Street Favorites – Chicken wings, duck tongue, seafood, and seasonal vegetables
  • Hot Dishes – Mala tang, sizzling tofu & enoki mushrooms, fried instant noodles
  • Cold Dishes – Spicy cold noodles, marinated beef shank, and chilled Chinese-style salads

Skewers are affordably priced at $1.00 each for Chubby Club members ($1.30 for non-members). Everything is made fresh daily — never pre-prepared or leftover — upholding Chubby Group’s commitment to ingredient quality and bold flavor.

Chubby Skewers is open daily from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM and offers more than just a meal — it’s a fully immersive experience. The interior blends industrial touches with retro Chinese street aesthetics, featuring a color palette of bold reds and yellows inspired by classic Dongbei BBQ stalls. Vintage Chinese newspapers line the walls, exposed brick adds texture, and LED neon lighting casts a lively glow reminiscent of Asia’s bustling night markets. Casual low tables and stools encourage shared dining, echoing the communal feel of roadside BBQ culture. With retro beats playing in the background and the aroma of sizzling skewers in the air, the space invites guests to linger, connect, and enjoy a spirited late-night vibe.

“We’re here to bring people together through bold flavors and a shared love of barbecue.” said a representative of Chubby Skewers in a statement.

“At Chubby Skewers, we celebrate good food, good company, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. With this Flushing opening, we’re thrilled to introduce Dongbei BBQ culture to a whole new community.”
