The parent company behind JINYA Ramen Bar is bringing a new take on the JINYA concept to 826 N. La Cienega Blvd, according to a recent liquor license filing.
A representative with JINYA Holdings told What Now Los Angeles that the spot will be a more upscale offering from the company, offering a modern, high-end design. The menu will center around a dry-aged meat and seafood program.
The team is aiming for an opening at the end of February or beginning of March.
JINYA Holdings has multiple concepts in its portfolio, including JINYA Ramen Bar — a franchise with locations across the country — as well as Robata JINYA, which has two local spots in Los Angeles, and Saijo, which has one spot in Culver City.
Tomo Takahashi is behind the JINYA brand. The son of a restaurateur in Japan, Takahashi opened his first JINYA location in Tokyo in 2000. When he came to the U.S. in 2010, he began to open new locations.
