Brighton will soon welcome a new spot for health-forward eats.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is opening a 1,611-square-foot location at 470 Washington St in Park Center Plaza, city records show. Local franchisee Gineshkumar Patel, who also runs the chain’s Dedham location, recently confirmed the expansion with What Now Boston.
The upcoming Brighton cafe will serve the eatery’s signature menu of smoothies, smoothie bowls, savory wraps, quesadillas, flatbreads, salads, and breakfast items. Locals can look forward to fan favorite options like the Bahama Mama Smoothie, Açaí Bowl, Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap, Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread, Supergreen Caesar Salad, and Chia Oatmeal Bowl.
Founded in 1997, Tropical Smoothie is a leading franchisor of fast-casual cafes across the U.S. Today, the company boasts more than 1,600 locations nationwide. Patel is already eyeing additional outposts around Boston, though details about those locations remain under wraps for now. “We are working on it,” he teased.
The new cafe will sit on the second floor of Park Center Plaza, offering seating for 15 diners. Local home improvement company CMS Painting is currently handling the buildout, with Patel aiming to welcome guests in April 2026.
In the meantime, hungry fans can check out the brand’s other new spots in Stoneham and Somerville, run by a different franchise group.
