Sushi by Bou, the intimate omakase restaurant that’s been slowly expanding throughout South Florida and beyond, is planning a spot at the Trump National Doral.

Sushi by Bou Global LLC just filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Sushi by Bou at 4400 NW 87th Avenue in Doral — also the home of Trump National Doral. An opening date has not yet been announced.

Created by chef David Bouhadana and SimpleVenue, Sushi by Bou started in New York City’s 32/32 Hotel as a sushi speakeasy. In 2019, Sushi by Bou opened in South Beach, at the Villa Casa Casuarina (the former Versace Mansion). Currently, there are now nearly 20 Sushi by Bou locations, with locations planned for Salt Lake City and Downtown New York.

Sushi by Bou offers an omakase experience in a sultry speakeasy setting. Diners choose between 12 to 17 course experiences that feature the freshest seafood and finest ingredients. The restaurant also offers extra items such as hand rolls and “Bouzy” (alcohol-infused) ice creams. Sushi by Bou locations also offer a full bar that includes specialty cocktails such as the “I Dream of Lychee” with Roku gin, lemon, lemongrass, and lychee; the “Shiso Southsider” with Suntory Haku vodka, shiso leaves, simple syrup, and lime juice; and the “Yuzu Honey Bee” with Maker’s Mark bourbon, honey syrup, yuzu, and pink peppercorn.
