Honda Center, the longtime home of the Anaheim Ducks, is in the midst of a $1 billion renovation in Anaheim through its ongoing Honda Center Encore project at 2695 E Katella Avenue.
The large-scale project, led and privately funded by the Samueli family, is being completed in phases through 2027 while the arena continues hosting games, concerts, and other events, according to the Honda Center website. The renovation marks the first comprehensive transformation of the venue since it opened in 1993. Customers visiting during construction may notice temporary changes to parking, entry points, concessions, and concourse areas as work progresses throughout the building. Arena officials note that opening and closing timelines for different areas are subject to change as construction continues.
A significant portion of the renovation focuses on upgrading dining and concession areas throughout the arena. Several new concepts debuted in December on the upper level, including Feather & Flame, El Patito, Slapshot Grill, and Anaheim Pizza Co. Additional stands such as Blueline Taqueria, Quack Snacks, Sweet Spot Soft Serve, and Anaheim Pizza Co. at Section 419 have also opened in phases as part of the refresh. Over time, every food and beverage location inside Honda Center is expected to receive updates.
As new concepts open, several existing dining locations are also closing as part of the renovation timeline. Arena concepts such as Herradura Bar at Section 208, California Pizza Kitchen at Section 210, Hat Trick Hawaiian BBQ at Section 228, Arena Classics at Section 402, Anaheim Chile at Section 443, and a bar at Section 415 are among the locations scheduled to close during construction. Earlier phases of the project also included the closure of Anaheim Pizza Co. at Section 203, Outlaws Smokehouse at Section 219, the bar at Section 224, The Press Box at Section 408, and The Sweet Spot at Section 430 before their updated replacements opened.
Additional openings are planned in the coming months as construction continues. Draft Picks opened at Section 437 in November, while summer 2026 plans include the debut of new bar spaces at the West Entrance and Section 415, along with new plaza-level restrooms. A new club-level bar is also scheduled to open near Sections 319 through 321, and Sweet Spot is expected to return at Section 228 in the spring. Finally, Brewery X Biergarten is currently closed while renovations tied to the South Entrance redevelopment take place. All timelines remain subject to change as work progresses.
The project also includes updates beyond food and beverage. A new five-story addition on the south side of the arena will introduce a redesigned South Entrance featuring escalators, expanded gathering areas, and new hospitality spaces. Plans also include a new Anaheim Ducks Team Store and a Columbia Bank Club Level restaurant.
Additional upgrades include redesigned restrooms throughout the arena, renovations to all existing luxury suites, and the addition of new opera box suites on the Plaza Level. Parking access has also expanded with the opening of the Katella and Cerritos parking garages. When the Honda Center Encore project wraps up in 2027, the renovation will significantly modernize the arena ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics and future events in Anaheim.
