Central Florida get ready — because Jack in the Box is coming your way.

Right on the heels of the fast food chain opening its first Central Florida location in Longwood just a few weeks ago, Jack in the Box is planning on additional locations.

Jack in the Box franchisee Ed Zausch is planning on opening several more locations. In 2024, Zausch entered into a 10-restaurant deal with the chain, with the first opening right on schedule at 815 W. State Road 434 in Longwood.

Now, the Orlando Business Journal reports that Zausch has signed a land lease in Clermont and is planning to start construction as soon as possible. In addition, the entrepreneur is seeking out possible opportunities in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, and in Volusia County. According to Zausch’s agreement with Jack in the Box, his territory comprises northeast Orange County, Seminole County, and Clermont area. Although there currently isn’t an opening timeline for additional locations, Zausch is hopeful to open a second Jack in the Box by the end of the year.

Robert Peterson founded Jack in the Box in San Diego, California in 1951. The drive-thru was unique for its clown head that would talk to customers when they ordered their food. The restaurant is known for its menu of burgers, tacos, and all-day breakfast items, with many locations open 24 hours a day.
