Mission BBQ is opening a Glendale location.

The patriotic barbecue restaurant is planning a restaurant at 7350 W. Bell Road, Suite 102. According to Instagram account, Upper Westside Phoenix, a banner has already been placed on the construction site. No opening date has been announced at this time.

The fast-casual eatery was founded on September 11, 2011 by Steve Newton and Bill Kraus as a way to honor American heroes. Each location is filled with tributes to local heroes and veterans. Each day at noon, restaurant operations stop completely as the National Anthem is played in honor of the people who have served the United States of America.

The civic-minded restaurant goes further than a daily salute. To date, it has donated more than $25 million to military, police, and firefighter organizations.  The company’s core values also include how its treats its customers, with Forbes naming it among the best customer service in the country.

The menu at Mission BBQ features classic meats such as ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken, turkey, and sausage. Customers can also enjoy a variety of sides, including mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, green beans, and fries.

The company’s good work, delicious food, and community-mindedness has been rewarded. The chain has expanded to more than 150 locations throughout the U.S.
