D.C.-based Hive Hospitality is bringing a concept to Nashville, with Studio by Jônt heading to 802 18th Ave. S., according to a permit filing.

The permit describes the planned work as a conversion from a radio-television studio to a full-service restaurant. The restaurant will comprise 2,224 square feet of space.

Hive Hospitality, helmed by chef Ryan Ratino, has four Michelin-starred concepts, including their two-starred D.C. tasting counter Jônt, which opened in 2020. It is known for experimental concepts. Other concepts in the group’s portfolio include Bresca, which opened in Washington, D.C. in 2017; Maass, a wood-fired restaurant that opened in Fort Lauderdale in the Four Seasons in 2023; French-Japanese restaurant Ômo by Jônt, which opened in 2024; Press Room, a bar that opened in 2024; and Ôde by Jônt, a Beverly Hills restaurant which represents Hive Hospitality’s first venture to the West Coast.
