What Now reported back in January on news that the long-awaited opening of McAlister’s Deli in Hutto is moving forward. As the Hutto location advances toward an opening, franchisee Best Choice Restaurants, a subsidiary of Sun Holdings, is already at work on another McAlister’s location.

Best Choice Restaurants LLC has filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a new McAlister’s location in Manor, at 11300 US Hwy 290.

It would be a welcome addition to the area, serving up sandwiches like the Memphian (Roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, Black Angus roast beef, provolone, spring mix, tomato, mayo and spicy brown mustard on 12-inch baguette), the Italian (Black Forest Ham, Pepperoni, Provolone, Tri-Colored Peppers, Spring Mix, Tomato, Red Onion, Black Olives, OBV and Spicy Brown Mustard on Toasted Baguette), and the Cuban Sandwich (Tangy Pulled Pork, Black Forest Ham, and Swiss with Yellow Mustard and Pickles served on Toasted Baguette).

“Our food is our foundation – we wouldn’t be here without the 13 layers of our McAlister’s Club or our giant Spuds covered with your favorite toppings,” says the McAlister’s website. “Our goal is to serve handcrafted food and delicious sweet tea that is simple and satisfying – for every palette, even mom’s pickiest eater. We take familiar flavors and add the special McAlister’s touch that you won’t find anywhere else.”

Opening in the Highway 290 location, McAlister’s would join restaurants like Pho Yes, Domino’s Pizza, Chokdee Thai Cuisine of Manor, and more.
