A popular family-run Virginia restaurant is preparing to make its Maryland debut. Our Mom Eugenia, the concept in question, will be opening in Bethesda before the year is out, reports Bethesda Today.
Our Mom Eugenia will be occupying a stand alone building located at 5315 Zenith Overlook as part of the Westbard Square development. The restaurant announced the new storefront on its company website, stating that the restaurant will be customer-ready at some point this fall.
The Bethesda eatery will be another notable first for the concept, in addition to being Our Mom Eugenia’s introduction to Maryland. As the website explains: “This new restaurant will be our first standalone building and will feature a year-round outdoor patio, along with expanded options for catering, pickup, and delivery.”
Our Mom Eugenia’s inaugural Maryland home will provide it with 2,400 square feet of space, featuring a 14-seat bar amongst other dining options. Visitors will be able to enjoy the 1,000 square foot patio year round, as it will be heated throughout the winter.
Our Mom Eugenia was launched in 2016 by Alexander and Philip Hobson alongside their mother and the executive chef-you guessed it-their mom, Eugenia. The restaurant’s delicious, authentic Greek dishes led to more locations, and now the eatery is a DMV success story, with three restaurants open across Virginia.
The upcoming Bethesda location will allow Our Mom Eugenia to serve customers old and new-a prospect that ownership is relishing, stating: “Over the years, many of you have been crossing the river to dine with us at one of our three Northern Virginia locations, wishing we were a little closer. Now, it’s our turn to cross the bridge! We are so excited to serve our new neighbors in Bethesda, Potomac, Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Palisades and the surrounding communities, and to welcome everyone who finds their way to our table.”
