Plans are underway for Snarf’s Sandwiches’ upcoming location in Montbello, according to a construction permit filed with the City of Denver. The chain sandwich shop will move into a restaurant space on 4505 Peoria St., which formerly housed a Quiznos.
The eponymous Jimmy “Snarf” Seidel opened his first sandwich shop in Boulder in 1996, expanding to over 40 locations around the Denver area with additional locations in Missouri and Texas.
Snarf’s Sandwiches serves a mix of hot and cold sandwiches, like prime rib and provolone or its Italian sandwich. While the chain believes a hot dog, in its traditional form, is not a sandwich, that didn’t stop them from putting a hot dog in a sandwich, a la their German dog sandwich, an item you can find on its not-on-the-menu menu.
The Montbello location is the last of a batch of new Snarf’s shops opening around the Greater Denver Area in 2026. What Now Denver previously reported that Snarf’s is toasting up a location in Hamden, set to open later this spring. Snarf’s Sandwiches also recently opened locations in Lakewood/Belmar in March and Aurora in February.
According to COO Wayne Humphrey, Snarf’s Sandwiches in Montbello is planning to open in June 2026.
