A delightfully witty regional chain is bringing frozen treats with an extra scoop of family-friendly humor to a new DFW location. Tongue in Cheek Ice Cream will be opening a second Plano storefront, full of the delicious and distinctive flavors and unique sense of sarcasm that have made it such a fan-favorite later this year.
The concept is bringing its signature sweet treats to 7801 Alma Drive, Suite 136. Marketing Director Natali Kling generously made some time to share details about the upcoming location with What Now Dallas readers, explaining why the company chose to further its presence in Plano with a second storefront. “Plano has been an incredible community for us, and we’ve seen such strong support at our existing location.” she says. “Expanding within Plano felt like a natural next step to better serve our customers and reach even more of the community in a convenient way.”
The new location will continue Tongue in Cheek’s established standard of “creative flavors, a fun atmosphere, and a strong sense of community” but will still be its own, distinctive creation; Kling explains: “Each location has its own personality. This new location will continue that tradition while bringing its own unique energy to the area.”
Old and future fans alike have plenty to look forward to. Tongue in Cheek has a rotating lineup of 28 creative flavors at any given time, and the warm, inviting atmosphere will keep visitors coming back for more. Kling describes the Tongue in Cheek experience, saying: “Tongue In Cheek is all about bold, rotating flavors, a playful and welcoming environment, and a sarcastic (but still very family-friendly), lighthearted experience that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Guests can expect high-quality, unique ice cream with seasonal specials, and a fun, slightly witty vibe that keeps customers coming back.”
Tongue in Cheek does not yet have a precise opening date for its next Plano location, however ownership intends to have the store customer-ready in time for the summer heat. Kling states that the ice cream parlor is eying a late spring opening.
Plano ice cream fanatics are bound to find the wait more than worthwhile, whenever Tongue in Cheek begins serving scoops. The company, for its part, is ready to greet new and familiar faces. Kling sums it up succinctly but powerfully, saying “We’re excited to welcome the community very soon!”
