Matcha Haus, a Toronto-based matcha-focused cafe, is getting ready to open a new location at First Canadian Place in the PATH network at 100 King Street W.

The company’s third location is set to move into the former Chatime Atelier space, according to Retail Insider. Founder Angela Yan opened the first Matcha Haus on Bathurst Street in summer 2025 and a second location on Queen Street East in Leslieville in November 2025. While an exact opening date has not been confirmed, customers can expect the brand’s signature scratch-made matcha drinks, including its Haus Blend Matcha lattes, ceremonial-style usucha, and koicha preparations.

Matcha Haus launched to offer authentic, high-quality matcha sourced directly from small generational farms in Nagasaki, Japan. The first Bathurst location allowed the team to refine staffing and inventory processes, while the Queen Street East store helped build confidence in scaling operations. The new First Canadian Place site will be the brand’s first venture into the financial district, tapping into PATH network traffic and weekday office crowds.

The new location is designed to maintain the same menu and experience across all locations, with a focus on premium, scratch-made drinks and health-conscious ingredients. Each site features eco-friendly practices, fair labor sourcing, and a modern interpretation of traditional Japanese matcha preparation. The First Canadian Place location represents the largest footprint for the brand to date.

Matcha Haus’ menu includes hot and iced matcha drinks, specialty lattes, and vegan-friendly options, all crafted with first-harvest Japanese matcha. Partnering with Chef Haruna Makino, the brand also highlights innovative drinks designed for wellness and mindful enjoyment. Signature items include the Haus Blend Matcha latte, traditional usucha, and Koicha for a richer, ceremonial experience.

Yan personally negotiates leases and seeks landlords willing to depart from standard commercial lease terms, helping the brand expand rapidly. With three locations in under a year, Matcha Haus plans to continue growing across Toronto while emphasizing quality, sustainability, and an educated, health-conscious customer base.
