A Spokane dive bar is getting a fresh start under new ownership.

Clifford and Raelene Elliott, the team behind Elloitts an urban kitchen, are now at the helm of Mozey Inn at 2723 N. Monroe St.

The Huston family previously owned and operated the spot for 26 years before selling it to the Elliotts.

“The Moezy Inn originally built as a ferriers house in 1901 and established as the Moezy Tavern in 1945, will be reopening soon with an updated space, food and full liquor license as well as all the pool, pinball, and darts!,” the Elliotts shared via Facebook.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board recently approved Moezy Inn for the liquor license, according to business filings.

Patrons flooded the post’s comments with congratulations and memories of time spent at the bar, with many stating they look forward to “moseying in” once again.

An official reopening date has not yet been announced, but updates will be shared on the Moezy Inn Facebook page.

What Now Seattle reached out to the Elliotts. This article may be updated.
