The off-price home decor retailer to make its Decatur debut March 13.

Decatur residents will soon be enjoying discount home decor alongside impulsively-purchased almost-expired nougat (that will seem like a good idea at the time) grabbed from beside a cash register.

Off-price home decor retailer, HomeGoods has set the opening date of its Decatur store for Sunday, March 13, according to a press release issued Thursday by the company.

The 23,927 square-foot store will be located in the Suburban Plaza shopping center at North Decatur Road and Church Street. The new location will be the 14th store in the Atlanta market.

Selig Enterprises is currently in the process of redeveloping the shopping center.

The off-price home decor retailer sells home merchandise at a lower price point than department and specialty stores.

HomeGoods has stated in the press release that it will support the Decatur community by hiring store management and associates who live in the local area. The Decatur store is expected to fill approximately 65 full and part-time positions.
