Memphis pizza fans, mark your calendars! Beloved Louisiana-based pizza chain Rotolo’s Craft & Crust has set a date for its Lakeland opening, and locals will be able to stop in for a hot slice next month, reports Daily Memphian.
The pizzeria will begin greeting guests at 9790 Market Green Place N. on May 11 at 11 am. Rotolo’s Lakeland announced the grand opening via social media, with a post offering several incentives for early arrival. The first 25 guests will receive free pizza for a year-a purchase is required but who could resist buying a slice once they smell freshly baked pizza? The first 50 visitors will be given a limited edition Rotolo’s t-shirt.
Memphis has been anticipating the arrival of Rotolo’s third location for nearly a year, following the brand announcing the Lakeland storefront in August of last year. According to a commercial alteration permit filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development, the restaurant will span approximately 4,500 square feet and be able to accommodate approximately 114 customers.
Rotolo’s has been baking pies since 1996 when the first location opened in Baton Rouge. The chain has expanded to include more than 30 storefronts. Its growth has been fueled by a commitment to using superior ingredients, dough made fresh daily, and a strong devotion to hospitality. The website effectively sums up what makes Rotolo’s such a valuable presence in every market: “Rotolo’s is about more than just getting a quick bite. We put thought into our recipes, our drink menu, and our environment to create an atmosphere that our customers enjoy.”
