Pickled Pig Kitchen & Bar, a casual dining restaurant known for its comfort food and gluten-free options, is getting ready to open a second location in Garson at 3098 Falconbridge Highway, Unit 2.
The company’s second location is currently under construction in the Garson Mall space next to Foodland, according to files submitted to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. An opening date has not yet been announced. The expansion builds on the original Greater Sudbury location at 3020 Old Highway 69 North. Customers can expect a similar casual dining experience with indoor seating and a relaxed atmosphere.
The original Pickled Pig Kitchen & Bar has developed a steady following in the Sudbury area for its approachable menu and flexible dining setup, including outdoor seating. The restaurant is also known for offering a wide range of gluten-free dishes, which has helped it stand out locally. The Garson location will extend that same concept into a nearby community setting.
The new restaurant will maintain the same general format as the original, focusing on accessible comfort food served in a casual environment. Located in a mall next to Foodland, the space is in an everyday retail area with steady foot traffic throughout the day. Final design details have not yet been released, but the overall approach will remain consistent with the existing location.
Menu items at Pickled Pig Kitchen & Bar include nacho tots, peanut butter French toast, lemon-pepper haddock, barbecue brisket, poutine, and veggie burgers. Gluten-free options remain a core part of the offering, allowing the restaurant to serve a wide range of dietary needs. The Garson location will continue that same focus as it prepares to open.
