Joe & The Juice is set to make its Texas debut this year. The booming coffee shop chain is expected to open its first Texas location in Houston, in Uptown Park at 1121 Uptown Park, according to Culture Map.
While it’s unclear where in Uptown Park the new Joe & Juice will open, real estate developer EDENS is collaborating with the brand for the first Texas opening and shared the announcement via a press release this week.
A timeline for the opening was not revealed, but it is said that the Houston Joe & The Juice will open this year.
The man behind the brand is Kaspar Basse, who founded Joe & The Juice in 2002 in Copenhagen. The concept focuses on fresh, made-to-order juices, coffee, and sandwiches with an “edgy” atmosphere.
Aquired by Valedo Partners in 2013 and later by General Atlantic to fuel international expansion, Joe & The Juice has grown from a single, stylish juice bar inside a clothing store into a global brand. There are now nearly 500 Joe & Juice locations across 20-23 countries. In the US, there are nearly a hundred Joe & The Juice locations, mostly concentrated on the East and West Coasts, Chicago, and Minneapolis.
What Now Houston reached out to Joe & The Juice US Managing Director, Jorrie Bruffett, to find out more details about the Texas expansion, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Since day one, we’ve focused on providing our guests with healthy products, but never at the expense of taste,” the Joe & The Juice website reads.
“Even today, as we venture further into vegetable juices and vegan shakes, we always strive to make them taste amazing. It’s our core belief that the vast majority of our population will only develop a healthy lifestyle if the food and drinks necessary to support that lifestyle taste as good or better than the alternative.”
Joe & The Juice is anticipated to debut in Texas in Uptown Park at 1121 Uptown Park later this year.
