Turquoise Wine Bar is set to bring a “Modern-Day Cheers” to Cypress. The Arizona-born boutique wine bar is slated to debut in the Blackhorse Ranch area at 16518 House Hahl Road, according to Community Impact.

The buildout is currently underway. The new Turquoise Wine Bar is slated to open by August. The wine bar is expected to serve light food with live entertainment and offer wine tastings and education.

At the helm of the Cypress opening is franchisee couple, Tara and Neil CruzWhat Now Houston reached out to Cruz, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.

Friends Jen Sinconis and Laura Hernandez founded Turquoise Wine Bar in 2020, following their move to Arizona.

“After months of business planning and strategizing, our mission was set: We need an authentic wine experience available to people on the westside,” the Turquoise Wine Bar website reads.

“Boutique wines served in an approachable way, wine tasting, farm-to-table food, and unparalleled service.”

The two established the brand to bring curated, small-lot wines and educational experiences to the West Valley, leaving corporate careers behind. Creating a welcoming, non-pretentious community hub focused on boutique, sustainable, and female-produced wines, Turquoise Wine Bar has continued to grow.

What Now Houston briefly spoke with Sinconis about the upcoming expansion. She shared that there is another location coming to the Greater Houston area, but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

Sinconis and Hernandez enlisted the support of their husbands, Justin and Dan, in getting the business off the ground.

“The name Turquoise was inspired by the giant blue agave in Jen & Justin’s backyard, something completely unique to these Pacific Northwesterners. We love the color, it’s warm and inviting and evokes an emotional connection within the shop,” the Turquoise Wine Bar website reads.

“This led the way to our gemstone theme. Each tasting flight at Turquoise is named after a different gem: diamond, amber, opal, ruby, etc.”

Beyond the in-person wine experience, Turquoise Wine Bar is set to provide the new wine bar is also expected to offer wine and beer sales.
