Over the years, we were honored to host celebrations, game days, dinners, fundraisers, and countless memories that brought people together.”
Restaurant Closes Following Reported Shooting Incident
According to a report by Patch, the sudden closure of Anthony’s Restaurant and Pub was caused by last week’s fatal shooting incident. Patch reported that a man in his early 30s was fatally shot in the overflow parking lot of Anthony’s Pub and Restaurant.
Following the incident, Anthony’s team issued an official statement on social media, mentioned a previous Patch report.
In the statement, the restaurant continued, “We’re heartbroken by what happened near our business last night. This is not something anyone ever wants to see in our community, and our thoughts are with the victim and their loved ones. Many of you come here to relax, spend time with friends, and feel at home. Incidents like this are deeply unsettling for all of us, including our team.”
The restaurant was working with the Joliet Police Department and was helping with the investigation. The closure announcement drew attention from local residents. The Joliet-area restaurant had long been a local gathering spot known for its active atmosphere.
