Good news for Fleming Island residents who have been missing the Jimmy John’s formerly located at 1960 East West Pkwy, Ste 108: the growing sandwich shop chain appears to be at work on a new Fleming Island location.

This week, What Now came across plan review documents submitted by Lakeridge Capital Partners LLC for a new Jimmy John’s, to open at 1851 Golden Eagle Way.

With more than 2,500 locations in the U.S., Jimmy John’s is a major player in the sub sandwich space. Its menu offers a selection of satisfying sandwiches like the Italian Night Club (salami, capocollo, ham & provolone) and the Beach Club (turkey, provolone & avocado spread). Plant-based diners can also enjoy The Veggie with provolone, avocado spread, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.

“The flavor of premium meats, combined with fresh-baked bread and hand-sliced veggies is what makes a Jimmy John’s sandwich your go-to lunch or any-occasion option,” says the Jimmy John’s website. “We use fresh vegetables because we don’t hate salads, we just feel bad for them. We slice our provolone cheese and premium meats in-house every day, because packaged pre-sliced meats doesn’t have the same ring to it. And we bake bread all day, every day because stale bread isn’t bread, it’s…croutons.”

Opening in the Village Square retail center, Jimmy John’s would join restaurants like 1928 Cuban Bistro, New York Pizza, and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
