Located at 11250 Old St Augustine Rd, Suite 12, in Jacksonville, Jet’s Pizza serves up Detroit-style pizzas that have become popular all over the country—a franchise network encompassing hundreds of locations in 25 states. Now, franchisees Jeff and Bob Phelps are preparing to expand the restaurant with a new location opening at 5617 Beach Blvd, as the Jacksonville Business Journal reported this week.

“We launched the Old St. Augustine Road location about 2 years ago, on April 12, 2024,” Bob Phelps told What Now on Friday. “We’ve been doing very well, and we’ve gotten involved in the community. We sponsor Mandarin High, the Icemen, the Sharks—we do a quite a bit.”

The Phelpses hail from the Detroit area, where Bob Phelps served as a chef at a Detroit-based pizza company.

“I was chef for about 18 years, and I took a break. My brother and I talked about opening something new, and we decided we wanted to bring Jet’s to an area without a lot of Jet’s representation.”

The Old St. Augustine Road location is currently doing a $5-off promotion on its 8-Corner pizzas, which Phelps describes as one of Jet’s Pizza’s most iconic products: “Every piece is a corner piece.”

Jet’s Pizzas come in flavor profiles like Ultimate Pepperoni, Popcorn BBQ Chicken (BBQ sauce, premium mozzarella, popcorn chicken, bacon & red onions), Aloha BBQ Chicken (BBQ sauce, premium mozzarella, grilled chicken, pineapple & bacon), and lots more.
