Harvey’s Deli Thanks Community in Heartfelt Farewell Message
Located at 27252 Katy Fwy, Suite 400 in Katy, Texas, Harvey’s Deli was known for East Coast-style sandwiches, in-house prepared meats, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Harvey’s Deli was owned by Tierra and Ted Tyman. They founded the shop with the aim to serve delicious deli sandwiches and ‘loving the community through food.’ The restaurant name was inspired by Ted Tyman’s father, Harvey.

In an Instagram post, the owners wrote, “We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve you the best East Coast-style deli sandwiches in Katy over the past five years.”
In the post, the owners wrote an emotional message and informed the community, “While we are confident that God will provide for us in our next endeavor, we will mourn getting to see you on a regular basis and love on you through our food.
“Getting to serve you and build a relationship with you has been the joy of the experience, and we will miss it greatly,” the owners added.
What Led to Closure
The owners of the restaurant explained that growing economic issues had made it hard for them to sustain operations. “Unfortunately, due to the struggling economy and the extreme overhead of running a small business, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.”
Following the sudden closure announcement, several fans of the restaurant expressed their disappointment on Instagram. One of the fans commented, “Sorry to hear that. I’m going to miss the best sandwiches in Katy. Good luck to you guys.”
