The Jonesboro comfort food scene is about to get a little more comfortable. The Southern Chef has a new location planned, part of its dedication to “investing back in…community.”

The beloved local chain announced its upcoming seventh location via Facebook post. The Southern Chef will be setting up camp at 5307 East Highland Drive between Hytrol and the ABB factory.

An opening timeline is not presently available for The Southern Chef; the social media post says only that the location is “coming soon”. However work still needs to be completed to turn the location into the eatery, suggesting that “soon” is a relative term.

The Southern Chef-”where culinary passion meets Southern tradition”-has developed a fan-following through its hearty, filling, and comforting cuisine. The menu is populated by a wide range of American dining favorites, ranging from pizza to wings to sub. As the website states, The Southern Chef “isn’t merely about filling your stomach; it’s a heartfelt culinary experience that keeps diners coming back for more. Whether you’re indulging in a classic Southern meal or discovering a new favorite, this charming eatery is a must-visit for anyone in Jonesboro.”
