Champagne and caviar lovers will soon have a new go-to spot in Philadelphia with the opening of a new lounge.

Bar Caviar, owned by Ken and Vittoria Schutz, will open inside the duo’s boutique hotel, the Dwight D Hotel, at 256 S. 16th St. in Rittenhouse Square, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The lounge will feature a selection of 50 champagnes, including 15 available by the glass. Among the standout offerings is Salon, an ultra-rare champagne made from a single grape variety in a single village, expected to be served by the glass for about $600 a pour.

For those seeking a more approachable option, nonvintage champagnes will start at $15 a pour.

Ken Schutz, a Level 3 sommelier who is pursuing a master-level Champagne certification through the Wine Scholar Guild, told the outlet he hopes guests will experiment with different pours while learning about the intricate process behind Champagne production.

Given Champagne’s refined profile, caviar felt like a natural pairing. The lounge will offer five varieties of caviar alongside small plates, as well as a rotating selection of oysters and crudo.

Despite the luxury offerings, the duo aims to create an approachable space that is “elegant but relaxed.”

An official opening date has not yet been announced. Stay tuned!
