A spot for wings is not moving far in the neighborhood.
Franchisee for Buffalo Wild Wings Maricela Guzman recently submitted a liquor license application for 2112 N Clybourn Avenue, Suite A in Lincoln Park. The team is relocating from their location down the road to make way for a new Buffalo Wild Wings GO. Guzman told What Now Chicago the estimated opening date right now is July 27th.
The new Buffalo Wild Wings will follow the trend of takeout locations opening around the country. The GO concept launched in 2020, and has since been popping up in placement of traditional locations. Guzman wanted to move into a smaller space to follow the company’s direction.
“Takeout has taken over the majority of the business,” Guzman said.
Many who visit Buffalo Wild wings come to watch the big game or have a night out. Those who aren’t looking for their wings can order burgers, sandwiches and wraps, salads and appetizers like sliders, potato wedges and mozzarella sticks. Many of these same options will be available for takeout.
Buffalo Wild Wings currently has around 90 locations across the state. Restaurants in Chicago are currently in the Illinois Medical District, Logan Square, Irving Park, Edgewater and Rogers Park. The N Clybourn location originally opened in 2013, and Guzman expressed interest in expanding to new neighborhoods and suburbs in the future.
The plaza is on the west side of the neighborhood, near the intersection of W Webster Avenue. It will join other dining options like Fat Shack, Kapitan and Serai, both Malaysian concepts. The new address is only a four minute drive from their current location.
As it gets closer to the opening date, Guzman will be providing more updates for the Lincoln Park community.
