The chain offering strength-building classes has plans for expansion in Detroit.
Orangetheory Fitness is continuing to build their brand with a new location coming to 41630 W 10 Mile Road at the Novi 10 Plaza, per a post from Gerdom Realty. The space is currently Hattie’s Hallmark Shop, but will close later this month. Franchisee Chad Layton told What Now Detroit he is planning on opening the fitness center around November or December.
Currently, there are around 55 Orangetheory Fitness locations around Michigan. The gyms offer services like full body, strength and cardio programs. Inside, those working out can choose from free weights, treadmills, rowers and other strength-building machines.
The shopping center is home to other retail chains like Pet Supplies Plus, Great Lakes Ace, a partner for Ace Hardware, and Busch’s Fresh Food Market. The storefront is next to Ardiana’s Greek restaurant. This is on the south side of Novi.
Layton also opened a location in South Lyon, and at the time it was the first Orangetheory he brought to Michigan. The nearest Orangetheory locations are in Northville and Commerce Township. The new fitness center has not yet been listed on their website.
What Now Detroit has reached out to Layton and is awaiting comment.
