Upscale Mexican Dining Concept Opening New Southern California Location

The acclaimed Mexican restaurant will feature elevated cuisine, craft cocktails, and a new Agave Spirits Club launching this summer.

La Popular, an upscale Mexican dining concept, is preparing to open its newest Southern California location in Redlands. The restaurant will open on Monday, June 22, 2026. The restaurant will showcase Mexico City-inspired cuisine alongside an agave-focused beverage program.

La Popular Brings Mexico City-Inspired Dining Experience to Redlands

La Popular will bring its blend of traditional Mexican cuisine and contemporary dining experiences to its new Redlands location. The restaurant will occupy space at 32 Al Harris Lane in Redlands. The concept draws inspiration from the culture and culinary traditions of Mexico City.

The restaurant chain is also known for its handcrafted cocktails and a carefully curated selection of artisan spirits.

Guests can expect a lively atmosphere that celebrates Mexico’s capital, and a comfortable venue for family and friends to meet up.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the soul, energy, and unmatched flavors of Mexico City to the vibrant community of Redlands,” said Laura Gras, Director of Marketing at La Popular. “Our goal has always been to share the rich culinary heritage of Mexico with California, creating a space where friends and family can gather over extraordinary food and world-class agave spirits.”

Inside La Popular’s Menu and Cocktail Program

The Redlands location will offer a menu of Mexican dishes alongside a cocktail-focused beverage program. Some of the featured items include Ribeye Tacos served costra-style with shaved ribeye, guacamole, and pickled onions on corn tortillas. Additional menu items include an Ahi Tuna Tostada topped with crispy leek, chipotle aioli, soy vinaigrette, and avocado.

Other highlights include Chicken Mole Poblano with rice and beans, and churros with chocolate sauce and cajeta for a traditional sweet finish.

Apart from its regular menu, the restaurant will also feature a monthly special, highlighting seasonal ingredients and flavors.

The beverage lineup is focused on agave spirits, including craft cocktails made with tequila and mezcal. Signature cocktails include the Watermelon Hibiscus Margarita, Forbidden Paradise Mule, and El Mercado.

Agave fans will have another reason to visit beginning in July, when the Redlands location launches its Agave Spirits Club. The membership program will offer access to exclusive barrel selections, limited-release tequilas and mezcals, guided tasting events, and other specialty experiences created by the restaurant’s beverage team.
