EVO Entertainment has recently acquired the former Xscape Theatre property in Fulshear. According to Community Impact, the brand plans to redevelop the site into a massive entertainment destination. EVO Entertainment plans to open the new venue within the Crossing at Katy Fulshear retail center at 26616 FM 1093.
The Xscape Theatre property in Fulshear permanently closed on June 8, 2026. Now the Elevate Entertainment Group is embarking on building a nearly 70,000-square-foot entertainment venue at the site. Construction is expected to have begun as Elevate Entertainment Group adds approximately 35,000 square feet to the site. New features include bowling lanes, arcade games, and several other attractions like laser tag and climbing walls. And yes, the existing movie theater will remain, but undergo some renovations to include two more premium format screens. We suspect the new EVO Entertainment will open sometime this year, if not early next year.
What Now Houston reached out to Elevate Entertainment Group Chief Executive Officer Mitch Roberts to find out more details about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Austin-based Elevate Entertainment Group creates boundary-pushing entertainment destinations that connect people through the power of shared experiences,” the EVO Entertainment website reads.
“The Elevate Entertainment Group portfolio of brands includes EVO Cinemas, EVO Entertainment, and Elevate Rewards. The organization offers a broad slate of activities including movies, bowling, games, and private event hosting. Guests can enjoy refined food and beverages from their scratch kitchens and bars while immersing themselves in a variety of entertainment options for everyday fun.”
EVO Entertainment was founded in 2014 by Roberts, a fourth-generation cinema operator. With the goal of reinventing the movie-going experience into a comprehensive entertainment destination, EVO Entertainment has quickly grown in popularity. The company pioneered a hybrid model combining dine-in theaters, bowling alleys, arcades, and full-service restaurants under one roof.
There are now 19 EVO Entertainment locations across five states, with several more under development. The Fulshear opening will be the first location in the Greater Houston region.
Evo Entertainment is anticipated to open within the Crossing at Katy Fulshear retail center at 26616 FM 1093 later this year or early next year.
