Binchotan is cooking up something hot and new for the Las Vegas Valley. According to a Clark County permit, the new AYCE Korean BBQ concept is expected to open within the Historic Commercial Center District at 953 E Sahara Ave, Ste. E9.
“It’s AYCE Korean BBQ specializing in pork. We really want people to enjoy the meal, so we’ve decided not to have a time limit,” Binchotan owner Sean Liang said in an e-mail interview with What Now Las Vegas.
“It’s close to the strip, and every local knows the Commercial Center.”
Liang shared that the plan is to open at the beginning of September. If all goes well with construction and permitting, we can expect a fall grand opening.
“We want the community to experience the atmosphere of a real Korean BBQ restaurant,” Liang said.
“Binchotan (also known as Japanese white charcoal) is a premium, dense hardwood charcoal traditionally made in Japan. Highly prized by chefs for its purity, it burns exceptionally hot, produces almost no smoke, and emits no odor, making it ideal for grilling without altering the food’s natural flavor.”
Liang is working with Chef’s Steam Table to provide the best in meats to locations nationwide and is excited to bring the same to his new eatery: Binchotan.
“I’ve been in the meat industry for over a decade and have always wanted to have a restaurant with high-end charcoal,” Liang said.
“Chef’s steam table provides meat products to supermarkets, Universities, and military bases nationwide. Currently working on an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant.”
The AYCE experience will offer a variety of good eats. One notable menu item is the pork galbi, also known as dwaeji galbi.
“A popular Korean barbecue dish featuring tender pork shoulder sliced and marinated in a sweet, savory soy sauce,” Liang said.
Try it all out and more when the new Binchotan opens in the Historic Commercial Center District at 953 E Sahara Ave, Ste. E9 this fall.
