Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop is officially opening this month. The travel center will feature dining, retail, entertainment, and hospitality offerings. The opening week will include live performances, giveaways, and special events.
Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop to Open This Month
Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop is scheduled to open June 24 at 2:30 p.m. at 3686 Pulaski Highway, Cornersville. The opening will be celebrated from June 24 to July 3.
The project was developed through a partnership between Dolly Parton, Danny Nozell, and Gregory H. Sachs. It is a rebrand of The Tennessean Travel Stop, which has been operating since 1974. The travel stop will offer dedicated truck parking, fuel services, and a truckers’ lounge.
The amenities at Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop include DLY BBQ, a general store, and a live music stage. It also includes a Doggy Parton Dog Park, an upstairs event space, and EV charging.
Parton’s new coffee brand, Cup of Ambition, will make its public debut at the opening of the travel stop. It is a brand created with Community Coffee. Samples of the coffee will be given during opening week.
Grand Opening Week Celebrations
The opening will be marked by a week-long schedule of events. It will include daily live music, special events, giveaways, and activities. The highlights of the celebrations include Dollyoke, which is karaoke featuring Dolly Parton songs and country music on June 25.
Throughout the week, visitors can check out performances from local musicians. This includes performances by Alison Nichols, Taylor Ocano, and Lovella, among others.
On July 3, the festivities will conclude with live music by Escape Band and a cornhole tournament. It will also feature bounce houses, raffle prizes, food trucks and ice cream, and a fireworks show after sunset.
