Something Good is bringing a little more fun to Denver, with a neighborhood bar concept built around good drinks, good company, and a laid-back atmosphere.
Something Good is planned for 4970 N. Lowell Blvd, according to a city filing.
Greta Gunderson, who also owns Son of a Gun and Something Good in Kansas City, said that when she viewed the old Goldspot Brewing space, she loved the exposed brick, patio, and garage door. “I’ve always wanted to have a patio and garage door at my other spaces, but both are in historic buildings, so making updates like glass garage doors wasn’t possible.
“Those updated features, along with the classic brick, natural woods, and cozy charm, made it feel like the perfect space for the Something Good brand – we’re fun, not fancy. So I thought the building at 4970 Lowell was the perfect space for the next iteration of this neighborhood bar,” she said.
When asked about what customers can expect at the new location, Gunderson said Something Good is a space for everyone, a true neighborhood bar.
“We will continue to have draft beers and will be adding draft cocktails, along with classic yard beers and the ability to make classic cocktails upon request as well. The space itself will be a space you want to stay and hang out awhile, an ample bar and high top seating, along with cozy couches to lounge in,” she said.
Gunderson added that board games and a TV will be available for viewing. “You can view whatever you like, sports, the Real Housewives, old music videos, Christmas movies, whatever inspires you. We’re truly a fun, not fancy space where there’s something for everyone,” she said.
Gunderson hopes to open Something Good in August.
