“It’s time for another Crooked Can Minneola vendor announcement!” said a post published recently to Instagram by Crooked Can, the brewery bringing the City Center Market food hall to Hills City Center in Minneola.

The new vendor being announced? AJ’s Pizza Joint, the instant Winter Garden favorite brought to the US from Canada by David Cardaci and Knallhart Management Group.

“If you’re from Winter Garden, there’s a good chance you already know and love AJ’s,” the post says. “From delicious pizza and Italian favorites to their fun, community focused atmosphere, they’ve become a local staple for good reason.”

AJ’s Pizza Joint serves up New York Pies like John’s Pepperoni Pie, the Tropical Reeves (chili roasted pineapple, thick-cut smoked bacon, drizzled with vanilla honey), and the Jersey Tomato Pie (Respect the sauce – our signature AJ’s sauce topped on bari mozza cheese, finished with oregano, Grana Padano parmesan).

“The first location was in Canada,” David Cardaci told What Now on Tuesday. “We were building our own pizza product from scratch, and they had spent 10 years prior developing theirs. We thought it was probably one of the best pizzas out there, so we decided to do a joint venture.”

Cardaci’s Knallhart Management Group is behind restaurants like Rhythm + Vine, Harlow Grove, and The Whole Enchilada, along with—of course—the Winter Garden AJ’s Pizza Point location. Opening in the City Center Market, the new AJ’s will offer just about everything you can find at the Winter Garden restaurant.

There’s also a new AJ’s Pizza Joint planned for Fort Lauderdale, Cardaci says.
