A growing independent grocer is moving around the northern suburbs.
From The Daily Herald, Shop & Save is expanding their presence in Chicagoland with new locations including Lindenhurst and Norridge. The company just opened locations in Grayslake at 815 Center Street, and in Algonquin at 100 S Randall Road. Lindenhurst is expected to open in the next week, while Norridge is a few more weeks out.
The company was founded in Des Plaines by Eva Jakubowski and her husband, Cezary. Stores sell breads, fruits, sausage, butter and many other grocery items to be expected. They also cater, serving charcuterie boards, custom cakes and sweets depending on the event.
Shop & Save has also expanded to two other locations in Chicago, in Norwood Park and Uptown. As of now, there are no other announced plans for additional stores in the area. What Now Chicago has reached out to the team at Shop & Save and is awaiting comment.
The brand’s Lindenhurst location is opening at the Butera Market space on the north side of E Grand Avenue. Play Tyme gym is also at the building, and this is in the same plaza as Ocean Seafood. An address for the Norrige location has not yet been confirmed.
