Bad Luck Burger Club is expanding its Nashville footprint with its first standalone brick-and-mortar restaurant, set to open at 501 Gallatin Avenue in East Nashville. The upcoming location will occupy the former Porter Road Butcher space, according to the Nashville Business Journal.
Permit filings reviewed by the Nashville Business Journal show renovations are planned for the 1,255-square-foot building, with David Craig Construction overseeing the project. The work will also include a covered patio with a trellis, creating additional outdoor seating.
Founded by Andy Atkins and Cody Driggers, Bad Luck Burger Club first launched through pop-ups and residencies in 2021 after the pair began developing their smashburger concept in 2020. According to the company’s website, the business later expanded with a food truck in 2022, a permanent food trailer at Honeytree Meadery in 2024, and a food window inside Living Waters Brewing in 2025.
The menu centers on five signature smashburgers served on toasted potato buns, complemented by a selection of grilled cheese sandwiches, crispy tater tots, and churro fries. Guests can also pair their meal with a variety of house-made sauces and rotating specials.
An opening date has not yet been reported. WhatNow Nashville will update this article as more information becomes available.
