A global retail chain is preparing to inject a little whimsy and joy into the Maryland shopping experience. Pop Mart, which aims to “celebrate daily moments and inspire through designer toys and fun experiences”, will be opening a new location in the Annapolis Mall this fall.

Pop Mart will be bringing its eclectic selection of accessories, toys, and collectibles to 2002 Annapolis Mall Road. Shoppers will be able to peruse the concept’s array of wares later this year; the store is on track to open in September.

Pop Mart was founded in Beijing, China in 2010. The chain now has more than 550 locations open worldwide, though it still has a relatively modest presence in the United States with over 20 locations open.

Pop Mart has attracted loyal customers with its collection of branded items, including products from Marvel, Hello Kitty, Disney, and Harry Potter. As the store’s website states: “Our mission is to light up passion & bring joy around the world. Pop Mart is not just a brand, it’s a galaxy of creative possibilities.”
