A popular card store in Atlanta is building a new large-scale store in the Detroit area.

CardsHQ officially announced their new location is coming to Orion Township this year. This will be at the Baldwin Commons Shopping Center, 4826 S Baldwin Road. Right now, the interior is under construction and is set to debut by the end of 2026.

Cards HQ has been operating for two years in Atlanta at 3101 Cobb Parkway SE, Suite 100. The concept was started by Geoff Wilson who wanted to create a business for trading card collectors. These include sports cards, combat sport cards, as well as TCG cards like Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and One Piece. When contacted, Wilson was not available for comment.

“CardsHQ is more than just a card shop—it’s a home for the hobby. And we’re thrilled to bring our new home to Detroit! While we’re passionate about collecting and investing, what truly drives us is the community we’ve built,” says an excerpt from the new Detroit section on their website.

From conceptual pictures, the card store will have a large front desk for purchasing or sending in cards, and many shelves that display the products. A sitting area is also being constructed on the right side of the interior, where customers can pick out custom cards.

CardsHQ is coming to the shopping center just north of Great Lakes Crossing, joining chains like Kohl’s, Ulta Beauty, Michaels and Five Below. This is right off of Interstate 75, on the west side of Baldwin Road.

As it gets closer to the opening date, CardsHQ will be releasing more updates for the Detroit location on their website.
