Calling all burgerholics! A popular pop-up burger joint is preparing to open its first permanent brick-and-mortar location.
Blackout Burger, owned by Cameron Wetzler, will debut at 1813 Reynolds Ave. in North Charleston, near the Navy Yard, restaurant broker Mike Santos of The Commonwealth Company told What Now Charleston.
The 1,613 square-foot restaurant was sold through listingledge.com
Blackout Burger is known for its smashed Angus beef patties, seared until crispy and topped with American cheese, pickles, caramelized onions and house-made fancy sauce on a milk bun from local bakery Annie Mae Bakeshop.
At previous pop-ups, the menu also featured a chicken Philly with chopped chicken, peppers, onions, white American cheese and mayo, along with a Frito pie layered with corn chips, nacho cheese, chili, fancy sauce, jalapeños, pickles, queso fresco, Hot Cheetos dust and Tajín.
Blackout Burger has not yet announced an opening date. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
