Downtown Nashville Awaits New Group Gaming Venue

A new interactive entertainment concept is coming to downtown Nashville, as Time Mission prepares to open its newest U.S. location inside Cummins Station, at 209 10th Avenue South, Suite 134, Business Journal reports. The Rhode Island-based company is eager to debut its large-scale immersive gaming experience, featuring dozens of team-based challenges, in another market. 

“Nashville has been on the top of our list for some time because it is so fun and vibrant – just like Time Mission! We finally found the perfect location in downtown Nashville near The Gulch, inside historic Cummins Station. We are super excited to join the iconic Gibson Garage as well as amazing restaurants that are also located there,” David Larson, Time Mission Managing Partner, told What Now Media. 

The company signed its lease at Cummins Station several months ago and filed for permits recently. Construction will begin once permits are approved, and the venue is expected to open toward the end of autumn. 

Larson told What Now Media the business plans to hire more than 20 employees for the Nashville venue, including both full-time and part-time positions. Hiring is expected to begin in early October.

This location will be the company’s largest venue nationwide to date, at over 12,000 square feet. That’s plenty of room for hosting 28 unique missions where teams compete in physical, mental, and skill-based challenges. The brand describes the experience as a real-life video game.

Time Mission’s format is designed for groups of two to five players who can choose sessions ranging from 60 to 120 minutes. There are a variety of missions, including challenges focused on puzzles, speed, coordination, teamwork, and physical activity. Examples include Jungle Temple, where players navigate an adventure-style course, and Magma Mayhem, which is a simulation version of the “The Floor Is Lava” game.

Larson said the company’s broad range of experiences is designed to appeal to different ages, interests, and group types, from birthday celebrations to corporate events.

“One of the things that sets Time Mission apart is that we have such a wide variety of experiences. There is something that appeals to everyone, and every player has a chance to contribute and shine,” he said. “We like to say that Time Mission is perfect for ages 6 to 106. It works equally well for a kid’s birthday as well as for corporate team building.” 

Founded in 2021, Time Mission opened its first location in Rhode Island and has since expanded to seven locations in the U.S. and two in Europe. The company is continuing an aggressive expansion plan and expects to have 12 total locations by the end of this year, and potentially upwards of 25 by the close of 2027.
